Dr. Vitucci is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Master of Science in human physiology both from The Ohio State University. His graduate research examined velocity and force generating capabilities of single muscle fibers in the canine model. He grew up in St. Louis, where he attended Chaminade College Prepatory. His interests include orthopedics, soft tissue surgery and cancer medicine. Dr. Vitucci’s other interests include backcountry skiing, boating, showing his champion Bernese Mountain Dog and working on his marine reef aquarium. Dr. Vitucci and his wife, Jen, bought County Animal Hospital from Gary Atkinson in 2009. They look forward to furthering the long-standing tradition of practicing excellent veterinary medicine.
Certifications and Organizations: AO Association for the Study of Internal Fixation (AOASIF), External Skeletal Fixation, Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA), Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), HELICA Total Hip Replacement, and is an active member of The Veterinary Orthopedic Society. Dr. Vitucci is not a member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons nor has completed a formal residency program.
